DJ WRECKINEYEZ

Asher, Brain, Kevin, and I did a cover of the Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Boom Pow on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge show (May 12th, 2009). This was live on the biggest radio station in the UK (one of the biggest in the world). We kinda did it as a joke, and put it together last minute (hence, the reading our lyrics off paper/black berry)…but it turned out getting tons of exposure (last time I checked, it’s was almost at 2 million views on youtube). We never even thought about performing it, until tons of people requested it on or European tour this past August. Brain hitting the high note…priceless! First and last time you’ll ever see me rap. Great times!

Another great moment. Not only one of the greatest moments in my djing career, but in MY LIFE. Rocking on live television with The Legendary Roots crew. Thanks to Asher Roth for that one!

Will never forget this day… Long story short, was waiting back stage, eating sweet potato fries…went to get another round, and who do I walk past…Dj Premier. I turned around and was like “Whoa is that Premo?” Sure enough it was. So, I do what every true hip hop fan would do, walk up to him and pay my respects. To my surprise, he knew who I was! One of the greatest moments in my life. Talk to him for a bit, and walked him into our green room/introduced him to Asher. Turns out, he’s a huge fan of Ash’s and even showed us that he played 2 of his tracks on his Sirius show that week. What a great hip hop moment for us!

Also met the homie Mega from Blackscale the for the 1st time that day…awesome dude! Shout out to him for hooking me up with all the blackscale gear! Peep the shirt in the video. Shout out to my brother Dj Sean G (Pac Div) for the connect.

Boyder is a fool for this one. Hahaha. Fun times at the “I Love College” video shoot. A day full of Jack Daniels and Dipset lines.

What an experience. What a better place to perform a college anthem, then at MTV Spring Break in Panama City, FL? And on top of it, who comes out as a surprise guest to do his verse…Capo himself, Jim Jones. It was an all day/all night party. 1st time I ever drank Patron, and woke up the next morning not remembering much at all. What an experience!

Here’s our 1st live television performance of “I Love College” on The Carson Daly Show. What a day. Shout out to our bass player Chris Llewellyn for tackling the terrorist who posted a bomb threat on our plane ride there.
